Privacy
Last updated October 16, 2026Factory Raiders is a small co-op game made by Brian and Gage. This page says what we keep about you, why, and who else sees it. The short version: we keep what the game needs to know who you are and what's in your stash, and nothing else. There are no ads, no third-party analytics or trackers, and we don't sell or share your data.
Signing in
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. You sign in with Google, Discord or a link sent to your email. We never see your Google or Discord password. Clerk keeps your sign-in account (your email address, the name and picture your provider shares, and the devices and sessions you sign in from) under its own privacy policy. When you sign in with Google or Discord, they tell Clerk who you are; we ask only for your basic profile and email address.
What the game server keeps
- Your Clerk user id, a random id that ties your game records to your sign-in.
- Your email address, only once Clerk has verified it. Administrators use it to recognize who's who. It is never shown to other players or on your public profile.
- The handle and display name you choose, and the character you pick. These are public: other players see them in the game, on leaderboards and on your raider page.
- Your game records: your stash, loadouts, unlocks, raids, work orders, squads and stats, and whether your access is active or suspended.
That's all of it. We don't store your IP address, location, contacts or payment details. The game server doesn't keep a log of the pages you visit.
Where it's kept
The game's database runs on our own server at DigitalOcean, in New York, with a nightly backup kept on the same server for 14 days. Only the people who run the server can reach it.
In your browser
Clerk sets cookies so you stay signed in. The site also saves a few settings in your browser's local storage (sound and music volume, graphics quality, the privacy switches in Settings, your last deploy choices). Those stay on your device and we don't read them. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Delete your account yourself in Settings, under Account. It removes your account, stash, operators and progress at once, and your Clerk sign-in with it. Runs you played and your crew's shelf log stay for your squadmates, without your name. A deleted account's records leave the backups as they age out, within 14 days.
- Ask us for a copy of what we keep about you, to correct it, or to delete your account for you: write to brian@grindstonesystems.com from the email you sign in with. We'll do it within 30 days.
- You can also remove Factory Raiders' access from your Google or Discord account settings at any time.
Children
Factory Raiders isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep data about them. If you think a child has signed up, write to brian@grindstonesystems.com and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If what we keep changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and say so in the patch notes. Questions: brian@grindstonesystems.com.
